On July 7, Ms. Girardo received a Brava Award from the SmartCEO, a local business networking organization for her devotion to growing Mentor Foundation, USA and expanding the impact of its programs. Since Ms. Girardo began her work at Mentor in 2014, she has more than doubled the organization’s revenues and has developed a plan to expand the organization nationally. Her efforts to utilize mentoring as a prevention method for substance abuse has changed hundreds, if not thousands, of lives and Mentor is veryfortunate to have such an incredible leader.SmartCEO held a ceremony for the Brava Awards in which Gunilla and a handful of other remarkable executives were honored for their tireless efforts to push their companies and organizations to their highest potential.
The following is some ‘words of wisdom’ that Ms. Girardo shared with the Brava Awards audience: “Give back and pay it forward. Create opportunities for young people to learn and excel in their field of study. You’ll learn just as much from young professionals as they will from you.” The ceremony was filled with similar inspirational words from a number of the award winners and the SmartCEOs.
Mentor Foundation USA was also able to promote the upcoming charity golf tournament ‘Swing Fore Youth’ throughout the night with a table devoted to our organization.
The night was deemed a success as Mentor walked away with a well-deserved award for Ms. Girardo and a number of additions to our ever-expanding network of partner companies and fellow executives devoted to our incredible cause.
