In partnership with the Cesar Chavez Schools, supported by the DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative (DCPNI) and the Care For the Children Fund, Mentor Foundation USA has provided mentoring and career experiences to over 70 students throughout the 2015/16 school year at Chavez Parkside and Capitol Hill campuses and a total of 100 students have participated in our Shattering the Myths drug prevention youth rally.
In early April 2016, the Youth Ambassador Network (YAN) at Ichabod Crane Central School District (ICCSD) participated in a Social Media and Branding training workshop led by Mentor Foundation USA.
A key part of our drug prevention program at Ichabod Crane, Germantown and Taconic Hills is our Youth Ambassador Network. We currently have 41 youth ambassadors who have been trained in leadership as well as social media advocacy and branding.
