Yorktel Brings Career Mentoring to New Jersey

Dec. 22, 2016

EATONTOWN, N.J. (Mentor Foundation USA) – Mentor Foundation USA welcomes Yorktel, our new Career Mentoring Program corporate partner. This partnership allows us to bring our career mentoring program to 20 students in the Eatontown, New Jersey area.

Yorktel will host high school seniors, beginning January 2017, for six-sessions at their New Jersey headquarters. Students will engage with Yorktel mentors using our effective group mentoring model. Read more about our Career Mentoring curriculum here.

Founded by Dr. York Wang, Yorktel continues to be a leader in video solutions and communications through video conferencing and media services. Their deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) makes them an ideal partner for Mentor Foundation USA’s eastern expansion. Every dollar spent on CSR equals a cost savings of $18 in society.

The mentoring sessions will allow students – supported by their mentors – to focus on post-high school preparation, goal setting, branding for personal success, leadership, and resiliency.

We will incorporate activities specific to the video communications industry, providing hands-on experiential learning Mentor Foundation USA is known for – turning the business into the classroom. All student participants will be eligible for scholarships up to $40,000 for a four-year college/university.

We are committed to ensuring our students have access to industries and cutting-edge careers. Through this partnership, we will broaden New Jersey area students’ career horizons. We look forward to a continued partnership with this ground-breaking company for years to come.
