This first webinar is hosted by Robert L. DuPont, MD, first Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and President of the Institute for Behavior and Health, Inc., who has devoted more than five decades to the prevention and treatment of drug addiction, together with Jeremy Dawidowicz, Mentor Foundation USA’s Youth Advisory Committee President.

About the hosts

Robert L. DuPont, MD

Jeremy Dewidowicz, Mentor Foundation USA’s Youth Advisory Committee President

For 50 years, Robert L. DuPont, MD has been a leader in substance use disorder treatment and prevention. He was the first Director of the U.S. National Institute on Drug Abuse and the second White House Drug Chief. He is the founding President of the Institute for Behavior and Health, Inc., a non-profit research and policy organization that identifies and promotes powerful new ideas to reduce drug use. He maintains an active practice of psychiatry specializing in addiction and the anxiety disorders and has been Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine since 1980. A graduate of Emory University, he received an MD degree from the Harvard Medical School and completed his psychiatric training at Harvard and the U.S. National Institutes of Health. Dr. DuPont is the author of Chemical Slavery: Understanding Addiction and Stopping the Drug Epidemic, and proudly serves on the Board of Directors of Mentor Foundation USA.

Jeremy Dawidowicz is a current senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He started with Mentor Foundation USA as a Youth Ambassador in 2018 before graduating high school & was generously awarded the 2019 Structured Finance Foundation Scholarship. Today, he is active with the Youth Advisory Committee, where he is the current President and, he greatly looks forward to sharing his message with you!
