Sandra Pehrsson

Sandra Pehrsson is a Swedish award winning Jazz and Contemporary singer/ songwriter and multi instrumentalist with a long international career. She has performed extensively both as a solo artist and with several bands in Sweden, the UK and the USA. 

Sandra has been working as a jazz singer for many years and is currently recording a jazz album in Los Angeles with Grammy nominated Jazz Musicians. Besides being a successful solo artist and solo singer/pianist, Sandra has been recording and performing with former Tower of Power member Lenny Goldsmith’s band “The New Old” for the last 11 years and has recorded several albums with this band. She is also a member of several other bands around Los Angeles. 

Sandra has sung and played with original members of Rick James band and Corinne Bailey Rae’s band and worked with British artist Overseer on an album released by Columbia records. She has performed as a soloist with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and also has a credit singing in the Swedish movie about the Swedish singer/songwriter Ted Gärdestad, directed by the award winning director Hannes Holm and on Swedish TV. Her voice has also been in Swedish TV shows. 

Sandra also writes her own original songs and works as a recording artist, songwriter, lyricist and musician and has also cowritten songs for other artists. Sandra has appeared and performed live on multiple radio and TV channels, including LA Talk Radio, Mother Love Show and on Swedish Radio and TV. 

With a substantial music education behind her, Sandra is also a successful singing teacher/vocal coach and piano instructor with over 25 years of experience of teaching in Sweden, the UK and the USA. She teaches and has taught for several music schools, music academies, music conservatories, music colleges, for record companies and privately. She has taught students of all ages, from 3 years old up to 90 years old. 

Sandra has been volunteering with Music Mends Minds and helping with music therapy, performing for and working with Veterans and elderly.

She also has a passion to help youth and children learning music and how to believe in themselves and go for their dreams. She has been working with this for many years and also released a song during Covid where she included 36 teens and children to sing in the chorus of this song about hope. 

Sandra has lived in Los Angeles since 2012.
