During the fall, these Youth Ambassadors have received leadership and social media training to become advocates to promote positive change in topics concerning their community, such as bullying, academic stress, peer pressure and substance abuse.
Youth Ambassadors are now using their new social media skills to spread positive messages about #LivingTheExample via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat. The reach of messages among teens such as “Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quite,” and “You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it,” reaches far beyond their school community.
Here’s what some of our Youth Ambassadors have to say…
During Living the Example’s promotion, “#LTEWeek,” Amaya Smith from Germantown High School in Germantown, New York shared her insight on what it means to live the example of a drug-free life. We were so inspired by her quote we decided to feature it on Living the Example’s Instagram page as our #MondayMotivation.
#LivingTheExample means educating ourselves and others about how to become our best selves through exploring our needs, interests, and problems faced by many people worldwide. Through educating and providing the necessary resources to do so, we can empower those who need it. #LTEWeek

Recently, Living the Example has exploded on social media.
The #LivingTheExample hashtag has been used on Instagram 342 times since 2015. Every week students post motivational quotes, causes they support, and many other topics encompassing “living the example.” Our marketing strategy focuses on engaging the students working with us to empower them to become their own advocates against drug abuse.
Thank you to all Youth Ambassadors inspiring us and others around them to keep living the example!
