Our Youth Advisory Committee member, Richard Nukpeta, recently had the honor of participating in the ‘Youth Forums for Substance Use Prevention’ meeting organized by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). This event, which took place on Thursday, September 28th, brought together youth leaders from around the world to engage in discussions that are crucial in shaping the future of substance use prevention initiatives.
Participating in this meeting was an incredible sight to see countless organizations working in relation to each other. It was really cool to see how programs in different parts of the world are working together to prevent the use of drugs in the youth. Strength in many voices joined together in unison to work was inspiring to be similar to another peer across the world.
