Mentor Foundation USA’s ‘Parents for Prevention Award‘ identifies and honors outstanding individuals for their efforts and achievements in raising awareness around youth health and prevention. This year, Mentor Foundation USA is awarding Anki Lidén and Klas Bergling, the Founders of the Tim Bergling Foundation. The award will be presented to Ms. Lidén and Mr. Bergling at Mentor’s ‘In Light of Youth’ Summer Gala, on August 29th at 7 pm EDT.

The Tim Bergling Foundation was created by Anki Lidén and Klas Bergling and their family after the death of their son Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii – one of the most acclaimed and beloved producers/performers/songwriters in modern music. Tim’s parents have endowed the foundation with a significant contribution from his estate and will direct proceeds from future Avicii projects and the recent release of the posthumous album ”TIM” (2019) to the foundation.

The Tim Bergling Foundation advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health emergency and actively work to remove the stigma attached to suicide mental health issues.

The foundation supports science-based organizations engaged in research and preventative actions against mental illness and suicide, particularly among young people.
