Mentor Foundation USA is launching its first Youth Advisory Committee

The Youth Advisory Committee’s (YAC) mission is to advise Mentor USA on issues of interest to youth in the community. The YAC intends to increase the level of civic engagement of alumni Mentor program participants and provide the committee members an opportunity to give advice and input on important youth topics.

Being a part of the Youth Advisory Committee allows me to share my experiences as a student with experts in order to provide input on where focus is needed the most, allowing Mentor Foundation USA to cater their programs where they will benefit young people the greatest. To know that my service will benefit my generation, as well as future generations, is both a privilege and honor that I will uphold with great responsibility.

Jeremy Dawidowicz, President, Youth Advisory Committee

The YAC consists of previous Youth Ambassadors from Mentor’s Living the Example Program and currently hosts seven members. The YAC will meet on a monthly basis and help launch social media initiatives and campaigns to help inspire and engage their peers across the country on various topics, all supporting healthy living.

Youth have rich perspectives and must be heard and learned from. They are not merely participants but change-makers that hold the key to influencing their peers to live healthy, substance-free lives, for current and future generations.
