Since the onset of the COVID-19, many individuals have been increasingly spending their time indoors. All walks of life, from young to old, have transitioned into new their new lifestyles. In particular, we must remember our elderly folks during these times.

By volunteering with the Department of Aging and Disabilities Senior Nutrition Program and the Pasadena Senior Activity Center, Mentor Youth Advisory Committee members have helped the senior homebound in the Pasadena area receive adequate nutrition.

Each week, the Youth Advisory Committee delivered between seven through twenty cardboard boxes containing frozen meals. In addition to providing delivering meals, the purpose of the Pasadena Senior Activity Center is to offer various programs, activities, and education courses to the community elders.

Jeremy, Joshua, Tony, and Grace, have been instrumental in ensuring that the members of the Pasadena Senior Activity Center and participants of the Senior Nutrition Program, who have been unable to leave their homes since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, do not have to worry about food insecurities.
