An Afternoon with APCO Worldwide
Authentic Career Experiences exist when “theories” learned in school meets “practice” demonstrated in the professional world. Students who had a fundamental interest in mass communications and or public relations, visited APCO to learn about careers. Also, they were mentored and inspired by APCO leaders such as Mrs. Lisa Ross, Managing Director, Mr. Brent Crane, Associate Director, Ambassador Tim Roemer, Senior Counselor and Dr. Josh Walker, Director of Global Programs.
Designing Smart Homes with Casaplex
Students from Cesar Chavez with a fundamental interest in engineering, technology and architecture, recently visited Casaplex in Kensington, Maryland, for a Career Inspiration Day where they were tasked to design Smart Homes for a fictional client. Derek Goldstein, founder and CEO of Casaplex, shared his personal story of discipline, hard work, and faith that led to the creation of his growing international company.
